Payment Policy
Paying at Harrington & Wells should be quick and safe. This Payment Policy sets out which methods we take, when the charge happens, and what protects your details along the way. Harrington & Wells is operated by Ecomsonic LLC and serves customers in the United States.
Accepted payment methods
You can pay at checkout with:

Currency and pricing
Every price and charge is in United States dollars (USD). What the product page shows is what you pay. Sales tax, where your delivery state requires it, is worked out and displayed at checkout before you confirm.
When your payment is taken
Submitting an order authorizes Harrington & Wells and our payment processor to charge the method you chose for the checkout total, tax included. You confirm the method is yours to use. Where a charge is refused or cannot be verified, the order may be held or cancelled, and we will get in touch where we can.
Secure checkout and encryption
Checkout runs over industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption, which scrambles what you type so that nobody intercepting the connection can read it. The padlock symbol and the "https" prefix in your browser bar confirm the page is secure.
PCI-DSS compliance
Payments run through Shopify's PCI-DSS-compliant checkout, the security standard that applies to anyone handling cardholder data. Card details themselves are handled by the payment provider rather than kept on our own systems.
How your payment information is handled
Your full card number, expiry, and security code go straight to our payment provider and are never held on our servers. What we can see afterwards is your billing and delivery details, the items ordered, and the final four digits of the card.
Fraud prevention
Orders may be screened automatically before acceptance, both for your protection and ours. We may ask you to verify details, and we may refuse or cancel any order we reasonably suspect to be fraudulent or contrary to our Terms of Service. Anything charged in those cases is refunded.
Your privacy
We do not sell or rent your payment or personal details to anyone. Our Privacy Policy sets out the detail. Delivery and returns are covered by the Shipping Policy and the Return and Refund Policy.
